Adam counts the profit of those Waits concerts. That €131 seat equates to about $205, much more than $85 for a seat at his Birmingham, AL concert. Paddy Tax Waits-style. (Booking fees excepted)

* These snuck out early too *
Are you brand aware? A day in the life with brands. What would yours look like?

Shocking in this day and age.

Some people find mobile phone screens too small for playing games. Green tech souls have been eaten by this link.

Nellie has a nicer house than yours and mine put together.

John has some interesting thoughts on startups fail.

Check if your site is malware-infected using Google.

Nifty Nosh, a cool takeaway portal site. Why can’t someone build this for Ireland? Lazy-ass customers don’t like fishing for menus on a Monday night. Via Andy.

If AT&T gets control on iPhone pricing, does this mean O2 Ireland will too? What will that do to the price here?

Just because I got to hear Bruce in concert for scot free last night (from my sitting-room).

Great piece on the Lisbon Treaty over at the Cedar Lounge.

I want this on a tshirt.

Helicopter firms weep salty tears over this.

What we already know… Data-mining siloed information is the future.

Reasons to attend conferences outside your sphere of knowledge. Self-explanatory, really, but useful nonetheless.

If this be the trend, why hasn’t Europe a lot more mules. Our petrol prices are * double * that of the average US price! Double! Average US gas price today is $3.88/gallon, in Ireland we average about $8/gallon. Bloody hell!

Liking the NY Times’ TimesMachine.

Grr..forgot to sneak in the unlabeled NSFW link for Sinéad. * writes on hand *

If Mario had a car in Moscow, he’d have this one.

Loving the Frugal Ireland blog, a cool place to pick up handy cost-saving tips. Busy bee Debz is behind it. Very nice.

Ewww.. bread heads. And while, I’m over at Shape and Colour, manga jerking. <- NSFW! Winks @ Sinéad!

Choccie Botties. Double Ewww.

Sex And The City movie tries to go viral, by letting you poke about Carrie’s MacBook Pro. Are people really digging this?

Gotta smile at Green Ink’s take on Cowen’s “fuckers”. Graceful use of profanity.

Love Koko Van Napoo. Chateau Marmont’s remix of ‘Polly’ is throwback-tastic. Wish they’d stick a vid or two up on Youtube and sort out their web presence. MySpace just isn’t enough in this day and age.

The definitive Facebook metrics guide for marketeers. Can someone pass this along to the IIA Congress attendees?

Compfight is another nice Creative Commons search tool for Flickr. There are so many. The UI is fancy, it doesn’t generate the handy embed code like JB’s one.

Interesting post on limits of Creative Commons licensing.

Vodafone banana-skinned on this. Badly. Way to lose a big-paying customer.

Great New Yorker piece on the decline of the Republicans from Nixon onwards.

While Google Health garners inches of press, third-party ads are going to be served right beside Google’s on its network.

Who knew that microwaving CDs makes great photos?

Suzy musing on Enda calling the Catholic Church to clarify it’s position re: Lisbon. Situ murky waters, methinks.

Laura is looking for girls who work in Open Source to get in touch. She wants to build out a community. Get in touch. Building communities is a great thing. Who knows where the next opportunity is? Everyone ought to stand up and do their bit to build out, whether it be a group of gardeners to swap war stories or parents looking for peer support during the Teenage Years. Or Open Source girlies. Talk to Laura, if you’re interested.

Check out some of the nature-inspired images over here at the Materialecology. Set up by architect and MIT doctoral student Noxi Oxman, ME studies the design of materials in the natural world using the interdisciplinary streams of ecology, computational analysis, engineering and architecture. Lots of MoMA love for ME too.

A new RTE channel with repeats? Don’t we already have two of those? Blurb says it’ll air material not already aired on RTE1 and RTE2. So, just more obscure repeats then.

Russell has a very nice page here full of resources for those of you faced with planning.

Just caught an abridged version of this ad last night for the Sony Cybershot W170. The Sony Foam City ad campaign involved flooding downtown Miami with a cloud of foam. Fallon London are the creatives behind this campaign. They’ve done all the infamous Sony ads and that recent Gorilla/Phil Collins Cadbury’s ad. Want more? Josh Spear has the lowdown for the Foam City ad.
