- Cuban citizens finally get the opportunity to buy mobiles legally. I find this just a little sad, why so long? It took a change of Castro for this to happen. Especially since over 300,000 cagey Cubans have grey accounts with foreign operators. Just over 7,000 Cubans have signed up with the official operator ETECSA to an insanely expensive package. Small steps, but still sad.
