Geek Badgey Goodness
So, yesterday a cool little package arrived in the post bearing geeky goodness. I’ve got two flavours, ‘geek’ and ‘geek is good’. Time to show your geeky colours. Go on, no-one is watching.
Edit: Apparently, these badges look pink. I suppose people see what they want to see.. Hmm, there’s a deep thought in there somewhere. Adding another shot to clarify things. These bad boys are red. Red, I tell you.

It ain’t a competition..
It’s a meritocracy.

oooh i want one…my significant other said he was the most proud of me ever when I said of my blog readers “I’d like to put names to the IP addresses”, this along with the time when I said “wow, code is fun” are what keeps him with me.
Not bad for a girl who first saw the internet in 1999 when I went to college (the four computers in my school were only ever used for Excel - that was pretty much all I thought computers could do, oh and I have a business degree which again only taught us excel.
I like the “geek is good” ones, should you think I’m worthy.
It’s funny, I just found my “I’m blogging this” badge from the Awards 2007, I have two so if you don’t have one of those we could do a swap!!

I dunno if I’m geeky enough. I download my favourite You Tube videos to share with people on my phone. I rick roll people by text message. I’ve sometimes feel I have more social networking accounts and email addresses than I have friends. I comment on blogs and I save some of the postsecret postcards as my wallpapers. I read xkcd comics and get THEM ALL. I spend the morning on the bus reading RSS feeds via my mobile and I’ve taken over 18,000 photos in the last year, most of which are crap, all to share on my blog which I never get around to. Does that make me geeky or just sad?
Still, I like the idea of a pink Geek badge

I most humbly apologise for ever mentioning the word pink in relation to these. The red makes far more sense and look great!

I am a geek, I am proud… and I like red! I also found myself discussing Live Meeting, excel data within Publisher, laptop encryption, platform deployment and web 2.0 in Starbucks last night… and then I went home and watched the Barcelona match, lol… is that passion enough?!? Can I have one please?
