Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture
I was reading Salon’s Machinist blog this afternoon and really enjoyed watching Randy Pausch’s Last Lecture. At over an hour, it’s a long piece, but an amazing presentation from one of the most distinguished voices in Virtual Reality.
For a bit of background, Randy Pausch is a professor in Carnegie Mellon University who was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he gives this last lecture as a way of imparting some of the lessons he learned in his life. It’s a great video.
Update: Coincidentally, Pausch’s book ‘The Last Lecture’ (co-authored with WSJ’s Jeffrey Zaslow) was just published this week in the US.

Thanks for that. Very moving. I see he’s still going strong.

Saw it on youtube and on Opera a few months ago, more of a condensed down version of it. Was very interesting to see that he’s still doing quite well.
