I went to see “You, the Living” yesterday.

The DIFF programme says “a highly subjective and darkly witty series of fifty portraits of the human race at our present moment in history…a triumph of tragicomedy.”

I say - bleak grey dull unfunny in Scandinavian. Too many fat people. Balding old men. Unhappy. Lighting amplified the mood. The man on my right tittered at the sight of old men playing a tuba. I wanted to smack him on the head with my programme! It wasn’t funny. It was painful.

I removed myself from the cinema after 55 mins. To much tsking from the oh so intellectual audience. I have better things to do on a sunny Sunday.

Much more enjoyable was “Unrelated” in Dundrum last night. I made a pilgrimage to Dundrum to see it and was not let down!

Oooo - sounds good. Dundrum is a fine cinema, isn’t it? Went to see ‘A Gastronomic Story’ last night, myself. ‘Twas good.
