There will be a limit set in the PHP configuration on the size of file that can be uploaded through a form interface, and this is often set to 2mb. I've encountered it in the past, it's something that can usually be changed by editing php.ini (although I'd assume you're not using a Linux-based server?!) And there's totally no upper limit on the size of the text file. I liked your old theme.
